Parking permits, authorizing parking at metered parking spaces within the City of Ripley, may be issued by the Police Department for monthly periods, at fees determined by the Mayor. Such lawfully issued permits shall be issued only to such persons who maintain their residence within the City of Ripley within buildings which are located on Court Street, North Street, Church Street, or Main Street (also known as U.S. Route 33). Such lawfully issued permits shall be sufficient authorization for parking at such metered spaces without the payment of any additional parking fees. Such permits shall be issued for a period of one month from the date of issuance only upon payment of the sum of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each such permit.
