(a) There is hereby established a traffic control map, which shall be known as the traffic control map of the City and which map shall be prepared and kept on file in the City Police Department, a copy of which is incorporated by reference herein as if fully set out and attached hereto. The copy kept on file in the City Police Department may be inspected by any person upon request at any reasonable time.
(b) The traffic control map shall designate thereon the following:
(1) Through streets,
(2) Stop intersections,
(3) Yield right-of-way intersections,
(4) Traffic control signals,
(5) One way streets and alleys,
(6) Turn signs,
(7) Load limits or prohibited vehicles,
(8) Bus stops,
(9) Loading zones,
(10) No parking or restricted parking zones,
(11) Speed restrictions,
(12) No passing zones.
(c) Amendments to the traffic control map shall be made by resolution of Council and upon the erection of appropriate signs and markings giving notice thereof on the streets affected thereby, the amendments shall be in full force and effect. All such amendments shall be recorded on the official traffic control map.
Any person failing to obey any traffic sign or marking, duly placed upon the City streets in accordance with the traffic control map as so directed by Council resolution, shall be subject to the penalties prescribed and set forth for such violations within the Code of the City.
