ORDINANCE NUMBER 2023-637

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIGBY, IDAHO AMENDING THE COMPENSATION FOR THE OFFICE OF MAYOR AND MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL.

WHEREAS:    This is a General City Election to be held November 7, 2023,

WHEREAS:    Idaho Code 50-203 provides for the fixing or setting of the Mayor and members of the city council compensation,

WHEREAS:    This ordinance must be passed seventy-five (75) days prior to the City’s General Election,

THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED: By the Mayor and City Council of the City of Rigby, Idaho that the set compensation for the office of Mayor shall be $1,250.00 per month and the compensation for the office of city Council shall be $500.00 per month per member.

All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict are herewith repealed.

This ordinance shall be effective for all said officials commencing on January 1, 2024, and continuing until changed pursuant to section 50-203 of the Idaho Code.

Passed this 17 day of August 2023 on a roll call poll – 4 in favor none opposed.
