(a) Separate sections of these Codified Ordinances will be maintained for water and sewer rates and related requirements. This section is related to water only.
(b) Water Rates.
2000 gallons minimum charge | $21.52 per month |
Over 2000 gallons | 3.25 per 1000 gallons |
For each additional family on the same meter, $21.52 per month. In the case where more than a single residence and/or business is being served by one meter, the minimum charge to each user shall be the minimum monthly meter service multiplied by the number of units served or the calculated bill based on actual use, whichever is greater.
A minimum charge of $25.00 will be charged for service if disconnection is at the property owner’s request. If service is reconnected in the middle of the billing period then they will be billed for the actual usage.
(c) The price to be charged for water furnished by the Village of Richwood to all customers situated outside the corporation limits of the Village:

(e) All bills will be issued and will be due fifteen calendar days after the billing date. All water bills will be billed to the property owner. Accounts may be set up as owner and renter with both receiving a copy of the bill. All accounts are to be paid in full each month and no partial payments allowed or used to prevent shutoffs.
(f) The Village Council and the Administrator shall establish and approve the general regulations governing service for the Water Department and shall be applicable to all customers thereof. Such regulations and changes thereto shall be published in the same manner as ordinances.
