(a) No elevator, escalator, moving sidewalk or other conveyance covered by the Elevator Safety and Regulation Act shall be erected, constructed, installed or altered within buildings or structures within this Village unless a permit has been obtained from the Village.
(b) The permit fee for the erection, construction, installation or alteration of any conveyance shall be as set forth in this Code. Each application for a permit under this chapter shall be accompanied by all applicable fees and by copies of specifications and fully dimensioned plans showing the location of the installation, the location of the machinery room and the equipment to be installed, relocated or altered, and all structural supporting members, including foundations. The plans and specifications shall be sufficiently complete to illustrate all details of construction and design and to demonstrate compliance with the regulations and standards adopted in this chapter.
