(a) It shall be the responsibility of the gun shop licensee to keep electronic records of the following information:
(1) All TRACE information received from any law enforcement agency, including, but not limited to ATF, a formal TRACE request, FTIP requests, and any other County or Village requests.
(2) A record of all persons who purchase more than one firearm within a twelve month period if a master list is kept which includes multiple gun purchasers. A record of purchasers of firearms is not required for firearms purchased at gun shops outside the corporate limits of the Village.
(b) All paper or electronic records or documents required under this section, including any forms filled out by prospective firearms purchasers, shall be tendered to the Richton Park Police Department within forty-eight hours of the attempted purchase, or sooner if requested, if the potential purchaser appears not to be a valid or lawful purchaser as determined by the gun shop dealer. Such records do not have to be kept electronically, but shall be kept in a manner that allows prompt transmission by fax or electronic mail.
(c) All electronic records shall be kept for a minimum of five years.
