Street numbers assigned to structures shall be of a color that contrasts with the surface on which they are displayed and shall be placed in a position such that they are easily observed and readable from the public right of way. All numbers shall be in Arabic numerals at least three inches high and one-half inch stroke. Existing numbers that do not conform to this requirement shall not be in violation of this section. However, nonconforming numbers shall be required to be replaced as a condition of a re-occupancy inspection, and if numbers are removed or missing, the entire street number shall be replaced and shall conform to the requirements specified herein.
