1440.04 FEE SCHEDULE.

   (a)   Additions to, Modifications of, Repairs to, or Remodeling of, Existing Structures. Permit fees for additions to, modifications of, repairs to, or remodeling of, existing structures only, as well as structures appurtenant to existing structures, are as follows:

 

(1)   $100.00 or less $ 15.00
(2)   $101.00 to $100,000.00 valuation or part thereof	30.00, plus $10.00 per $1,000 of over $1,001
(3)   $100,001 to $500,000 charges per $1,000 of $100,001	1000.00, plus $7.00 to above charges valuation or part thereof over
(4)   $500,001 and up per $1,000 of $500,001	3,800.00, plus $5.00 to above charges valuation or part thereof over

 

   (b)   New Residential Structures. Permit fees for new residential structures shall be calculated on a per square foot basis. Permit fees for new residential structures are as follows:

(1)   Single-family detached	$0.75 per square foot
(2)   Townhouses - each dwelling unit per structure	$0.75 per square foot
(3)   Apartments -    each dwelling unit	1,000.00

   (c)   New Structures Other Than Residential. Permit fees for new structures other than residential shall be calculated on a per square foot basis. For structures aggregating fewer than 5,000 square feet, the permit fee shall be two thousand dollars ($2,000).

   For structures aggregating 5,000 or more square feet, the permit fee shall be calculated as Square Footage (SF) times fifty cents ($0.50)

Example: (7295 SF X $0.50 = $3647.50)

   (d)   Mechanical.

      (1)   Fees for power-operated elevators and escalators
         are as follows:

         Six or less, installed or altered   $50.00 per car

      (2)   Hot water heater (Residential)   $50.00

      (3)   Furnace (Residential)      $50.00

   (e)   Ventilation Systems.

      (1)   Residential (replacement or other
         than new construction)      $ 50.00

      (2)   Commercial/industrial
         (under 3,000 square feet)      75.00

         (over 3,000 square feet)      175.00

   (f)   Plumbing. Plumbing permit fees are as follows:

      (1)   Residential (new construction)      $200.00 (no extra charge for fixtures)

      (2)   Residential (remodel)         100.00

      (3)   Commercial/industrial/institutional

         (new construction or remodel)      300.00

      (4)   Yard sprinkler systems         75.00

      (5)   Sewer clean out            50.00

   (g)   Electrical. Electrical permit fees are as follows:

      (1)   Residential (new construction)      $200.00 (no
                           extra charge

      (2)   Remodel (residential only)         50.00 (no extra charge for outlets or fixtures)

      (3)   Commercial/industrial/institutional

   (h)   Demolition or Wrecking Permit. Fee for demolition or wrecking permit for

      Structure exceeding 144 square feet      $150.00

   (i)   Plan Review. Fees for plan review are as follows:

      (1)   Residential (new construction)

         A.   Single-family detached      $175.00

         B.   Townhouses - per structure   200.00

         C.   Apartment buildings         500.00 per floor plus

                           50.00 per dwelling unit

         D.   Addition and second stories   50.00

         E.   Garages            20.00

         F.   Decks               15.00

         G.   Final grade plat review      75.00

      (2)   Commercial/industrial/institutional      .15 per square foot of occupiable space.

      (3)   Where the Building Official requires the review of building plans and specifications by a professional engineer or architect, the builders or developers shall pay the actual cost of plan review plus a $25.00 administration fee.

   (j)   Carnivals and Amusement Devices. Fees for carnivals and amusement devices are as follows:

      (1)   Portable, for each assembly or installation   $ 25.00

      (2)   Permanent                  100.00

   (k)   Reinspection Fees. Where a second reinspection is required because of inaccuracy or incorrectness and/or not following the approved building plans, building specifications or the Village adopted building codes and ordinances related to the Building Department, a fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) shall be paid. For each reinspection thereafter, the reinspection fee shall be doubled. Such reinspection fee shall apply to the structural phases of construction, foundation, rough framing and final occupancy. It shall further apply to the reinspection of ventilation systems (mechanical, supply or exhaust), electrical and plumbing inspections, both the rough and final occupancy phases.

   In residential buildings, each dwelling unit inspected constitutes a separate inspection.

   (l)   Building Code Review Board application fee.   $150.00

   (m)   Refund processing fee.            50.00

   (n)   Occupancy inspections. Fees for inspection of existing properties are as follows:

      (1)   Apartments (per unit)         $100.00

      (2)   Condominiums (per unit)         100.00
