(a) General Requirements for Curbing Removal.
(1) Maintenance of curb and base. After curbing has been removed for a driveway or other purpose, the base shall be left in a good and workmanlike condition, and the ends of the curbing at the sides of the driveway shall be left in a finished and sightly condition.
(2) Removal of debris. Old or broken curbing and all other material so removed shall not be left on the surface of the street. Such material shall be hauled away and properly disposed of, and the premises shall be left in a neat, sightly and clean condition.
(3) Removal of gutter. Where the curbing to be removed is a part of a standard curb-and-gutter separate from the body of the pavement, the gutter shall also be removed with the curbing and shall be replaced with the construction of the driveway.

(b) Limitations of Driveway Curb Cuts. A curb cut for a driveway shall be permitted only in connection with the issuance of a driveway permit and shall extend not less than five feet from the curb line.

(c) Inspection and Approval. The removal of curbing and the construction of a driveway or any other work in connection therewith is subject to the inspection and approval of the Village Engineer and shall be done in compliance with the specifications prescribed by the Engineer.
