The grantee may trim trees in and overhanging the public ways in a workmanlike manner, so as to protect its facilities from abrasive contact. The Village may, at its option, following written notice to the grantee, undertake such trimming at the grantee's expense. The grantee shall exercise diligence to ensure that trees are trimmed as little as possible and follow practices designed to cause a minimum amount of trauma to the trees being trimmed. All refuse created by tree trimming shall be removed and disposed of by the grantee within one working day.
