814.16 PROTECTION OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY AT CONSTRUCTION SITES.
In the construction, installation, maintenance, removal or repair of the facilities contemplated in connection with this chapter, the grantee shall exercise reasonable care and diligence to avoid damage, injury or nuisance to persons or property, and shall install and maintain the facilities in a workmanlike manner so as to minimize the public's inconvenience and so as not to interfere with facilities of the Village. The grantee shall comply with all existing Village regulations pertaining to the use of public ways and shall, at its own expense, carefully guard and protect all private property and public ways used by the grantee so as to prevent injury to persons or damage to public and private property while work therein is being performed. All such public ways and private property shall be restored to their former conditions by the grantee within thirty days after completion of work on the premises, which shall be interpreted to mean that all grassed areas disturbed by construction shall be replaced by sod.
