634.09 LITTERING.
   (a)   Prohibited. No person shall throw, drop, cast or deposit, upon any street, alley, sidewalk or yard or premises, public or private, any filth of any kind or cans, paper, trash, paper containers, rubbish, bottles, wood shavings, brush, tree trimmings or any other form of litter or waste matter.

   (b)   Removal of Accidentally Broken Glass. In case of the accidental breaking of any glass upon any street, sidewalk or public place, the owner or person in charge of such glass, or the person in charge of such glass or the person responsible for such breakage, shall at once remove the same from such street, sidewalk or public place.

   (c)   Careful Depositing of Litter in Receptacles. Persons placing litter in public receptacles or in authorized private receptacles shall do so in such a manner as to prevent it from being carried or deposited by the elements upon any street, sidewalk or other public place or upon private property.

   (d)   Maintenance of Private Property Free of Litter. The owner or person in control of any private property shall at all times maintain the premises free of litter. This section does not prohibit the storage of litter in authorized private receptacles for collection.
