(a) Keeping. No person shall keep or maintain any poisonous reptile or other wild animal without first registering such animal with the Chief of Police. The Chief may prescribe regulations to insure the safe penning or caging of such animal.
(b) Exhibiting. Exhibition of animals which are ferae naturae in the eyes of the law may be conducted only upon securing a permit from the Chief.
