The policy of the Village, in regard to its disability pensioners under the Police Pension Fund, shall be:
(a) That each such disability pensioner shall be permitted to continue his or her health insurance benefits during the entire time of each such disability, at the disability pensioner's sole expense;
(b) That the Village's responsibility shall be limited to the statutory requirement that it notify the appropriate carrier, if any, at the time such disability begins. The Village shall in no case pay any portion of such disability pensioner's health insurance expenses.
