252.08 CONDUCT OF MEMBERS; ALARMS; DRILLS.
   (a)   Any firefighter in attendance at or responding to a call, who neglects or refuses to obey all traffic laws and orders of the officer in command at such call, shall be suspended or reprimanded at the discretion of the Fire Chief and/or the Village Manager.
   (b)   The members of the Fire Department shall conduct themselves in a proper manner and shall obey all orders given by their respective officers while on duty. All suggestions shall be made to the officers.
   (c)   Any Department member who appears for duty while under the influence of alcohol may be suspended, or expelled, as the Department officers and/or the Manager may direct.
   (d)   Any Department member who is expelled or voluntarily leaves the Department must immediately return to the Captain all property belonging to the Department which may be in his or her possession. If such member fails to so return such property, official action shall be taken to recover such property.
   (e)   Unless permission to do so is granted by the Chief, no member shall wear any part of his or her uniform when not on duty.
   (f)   When a fire alarm is turned in, every member of the Department shall go, as directly as possible, to the house where the apparatus is kept.
   (g)   No Department member shall leave any fire, practice or meeting unless he or she first obtains the permission of the officer in charge to do so.
   No fire or practice shall be completed until the fire apparatus is again ready for a fire.
   (h)   The members of the Department shall assemble for drill on each Thursday at 7:00 p.m. for night personnel and 8:00 a.m. on the first and third Sundays for day personnel.
   Any such member who is absent from two successive drills or three regular meetings shall be dropped from the roll unless good and sufficient reasons for such absence are made known to the Chief in person or in writing.
