(a) The Village hereby elects to participate in the programs provided for in the "Illinois Fire Protection Training Act," as amended.
(b) Before an individual may commence regular full-time employment as a firefighter, he or she shall be certified by the Illinois State Fire Marshal as a Firefighter II, as having successfully completed an approved training course as provided in such Act.
(c) Except for volunteers, part-time and paid-on-call personnel, the Firefighter II training shall be completed by the trainee within his or her probationary period of twelve months.
