(a) The Chief of Police shall cause to be kept books or records showing, in detail, the work of the Police Department. Such records shall show:
(1) The name of every person arrested and the date of such arrest;
(2) The nature of the offense charged and whether or not the accused was imprisoned or released on bail;
(3) The disposition of the case;
(4) The name of every person committed to any correctional facility;
(5) The amount of fine to be paid and, if paid, to whom;
(6) A copy of all charges filed with the proper authorities against any member of the Department and the ruling thereon; and
(7) A list of all property placed in the charge of the Department.

(b) All records shall be maintained in accordance with the "Illinois Freedom of Information Act," as amended.
(c) The Police Department shall charge fifty dollars ($50.00) in order to process a request by an individual to obtain that individual’s criminal history transcript.
