The Village Prosecutor, who shall be appointed in the same manner as the Village Attorney, is charged with the prosecution of all actions in violation of any of the ordinances of the Village and the conduct of all such proceedings in any court, or on appeal therefrom, when, in his or her judgment, the interests of the Village and the public require. He or she is responsible, and shall report, to the Board of Trustees and its President, the Village Manager and the Village Attorney for his or her conduct in office.
