230.02 APPOINTMENT; RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT.

The Village Manager shall be appointed by the Board of Trustees. He or she shall be appointed without regard to his or her political beliefs and need not be a resident of the Village when appointed. Thereafter, however, residency shall be determined by the Board and its President.
