The Tree Commission established pursuant to Resolution No. 138-98 of the City Council is hereby re-established for the purpose of acting in an advisory capacity only to the Mayor, City Council, City department heads and citizens of the City with respect to matters involving trees on public grounds and public rights-of-way within the City of Richmond Heights.

The Mayor is authorized to appoint, at his sole discretion, up to seven resident electors of the City to serve at the Mayor’s pleasure without compensation, and for no specified terms, as members of the City’s Tree Commission. The Mayor may, at his sole discretion, remove any member of the Commission at any time and for any reason. The Mayor shall designate one of the seven members of the Commission to be a chairperson, who shall serve as chairperson at the Mayor’s pleasure.
