1503.02 PERMITS REQUIRED.
   (a)    No work, of any type, shall be performed on any fire protection equipment or other equipment, appliances, or items pertaining to fire or life safety without first obtaining a permit for such work from the Bureau. Permit applications shall be filed in accordance with Bureau policy. Emergency work shall comply to the requirements of Section 1503.03 (b).
   (b)    There is no fee for permits required by the Bureau, unless otherwise stated in another section of this Code. Failure to obtain a permit will result in a fine of one hundred dollars ($100.00).
   (c)    When a permit is issued for work, the person or entity to whom the permit was issued shall, within ten calendar days, submit written proof to the Bureau the work was performed. Failure to comply with this section shall result in a fine of twenty-five dollars ($25.00).
   (d)    All persons planning to perform work within the City shall be responsible for verifying the need for a permit before any work is performed. The absence of a permit listed in the Code does not relieve any contractor from the responsibility of obtaining the necessary permits.
