(a) All contractors doing required, regularly scheduled service within the City, on any fire protective equipment or other equipment that may affect life or fire safety, shall notify the Bureau at least forty-eight hours in advance of the scheduled work. Examples of such work shall include, but not be limited to chemical agent suppression systems tests, sprinkler tests, or alarm tests. Submittal of the permit application form will be accepted as notification, providing such permit is approved.
(b) All contractors doing emergency service within the City, on any fire protective equipment or other equipment that may affect life or fire safety, shall notify the Bureau as soon as practically possible. Submittal of the permit application form will be accepted as notification.
(c) When a contractor is performing service work that is required at certain time intervals, such as chemical agent suppression systems tests, sprinkler tests, and alarm tests, the contractor who last performed the service shall notify the Bureau, in writing, when a required test, inspection, or other work is more than thirty days overdue. This section shall include all required tests, inspections, or services, not just the items listed above.
(d) Any contractor failing to comply with this section shall be fined one hundred dollars ($100.00) for a first offense, and two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for subsequent offenses.
