(A) Any person aggrieved by action taken pursuant to this chapter may file a written notice of appeal of the action of the Police Chief with the Town Administrator within five business days of the Police Chief’s action. Such written notice shall identify the person filing the appeal and shall specify with particularity the facts and basis for the appeal. The Town Administrator shall act on the appeal as expeditiously as possible.
(B) The action or decision of the Town Administrator may be appealed to the Town Board of Aldermen by the filing of a written notice of appeal of the action of the Town Administrator with the Town Clerk within five business days of the date of the Administrator’s decision. Such written notice shall identify the person filing the appeal and shall specify with particularity the facts and basis for the appeal. The Town Board shall hear an appeal at the first regularly scheduled Town Board meeting at which the law allows the matter to be considered following receipt of the notice of appeal.
