There shall be allowed a leave of three days for the purposes of attending funerals and related funeral duties as the result of the death of a member of the employee's immediate family, which is defined as the employee's spouse, mother, father, brother, sister, children, grandchildren, grandparents, or in-laws (mother-, father-, sister-, or brother-in-law). There shall be allowed a leave of one day for the blood relatives not part of the employee's immediate family, and the immediate family of the employee's spouse. Additional time necessitated by unusual circumstances may be granted by the Mayor.
