As used in the Building Code of Summit County, unless otherwise expressly stated, the following terms and words shall have the meanings and usage indicated:
(a) Words used in the present tense include the future; words in the masculine gender include the feminine and neuter; the singular number includes the plural and the plural the singular.
(b) Where terms are not defined in this section, they shall have their ordinarily accepted meanings, or such as the context implies.
(c) "The Building Code of Summit County, Ohio " means the Building Code of the Village, codified in Part Thirteen - Building Code.
(d) "Summit County, Ohio" means the Village of Richfield, Ohio.
(e) "County Building Inspector" means the Building Inspector of Summit County, Ohio.
(f) "County" means the Village of Richfield, Ohio.
(g) "County Treasurer" means the Finance Director of the Village.
(h) "Auditor" means the Finance Director of the Village.
(i) "County Prosecutor" means the Director of Law of the Village.
(j) "Deputy" means a deputy of the Building Inspector, duly authorized to act on behalf of the Village.
(k) "Board of County Commissioners" means Council of the Village.
(l) "Unincorporated areas of Summit County" means the incorporated area of Richfield Village.
(m) "County Board of Building Appeals" means the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Village.
(n) "Building setbacks", as described in Section 601 of the Building Code of Summit County, adopted in Section 1301.01 hereof, means the building setbacks provided in the Zoning Ordinance of the Village.
(o) "Height and area" shall conform to the Zoning Ordinance of the Village.
(p) "Material and Methods Board" means the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Village.
(q) "Departments" means Municipal departments of the Village.
