795.10 INVESTIGATION AND APPLICATION.
   (a)   Upon receipt of an application properly filed with the City of Reynoldsburg Building Department and upon payment of the $500.00 nonrefundable application fee, the City of Reynoldsburg Building Department shall immediately stamp the application as received and shall immediately thereafter send photocopies of the application to the Reynoldsburg Division of Police and any other city, township, county or state agency responsible for the health, fire and building codes and laws. Each department or agency shall promptly conduct an investigation of the applicant, application and the proposed sexually oriented business or club in accordance with its responsibilities under law and as set forth in this chapter and the laws of the State of Ohio. Said investigation shall be completed within 45 days of receipt of the application by the City of Reynoldsburg Building Department. The Reynoldsburg Division of Police shall only be required to certify the NCIC records request check mentioned at Section 795.11. The Mayor will grant, deny, revoke, renew, suspend and cancel an adult entertainment and/or sexually oriented business or club permit for a proposed and existing adult entertainment and/or sexually oriented business and club pursuant to Sections 795.11, 795.14, 795.15, 795.16.
   (b)   The Mayor shall disapprove an application if it finds that the proposed adult entertainment and/or sexually oriented business or club will be in violation of any provision of any statute, code, ordinance, regulation or other law in effect in the city, and the laws of the State of Ohio.
