(a) The Fire Chief is hereby granted discretion to determine whether special circumstances, due to the location of the building, entrance and driveway necessitate a variance from the requirements of this chapter. If the Fire Chief determines that such a variance is in order, he shall determine where such street address number shall be displayed to facilitate ready location of the building in question.
(b) It shall be the duty of the property owner to contact the Fire Chief to determine whether the special circumstances referred to in subsection (a) hereof exist.
(c) For those units located on Spinmaker Run whose front doors are blocked from view due to the garages, the numbers may be posted on the face of the garage building. Such numbers shall be located on the side of the garage nearest to the front entrance of that unit. Size and color of the numbers shall be as provided for in Section 1331.01. Those units with front entrances visible from the roadway must also comply with the provisions of Section 1331.01.
(d) For those units located on Commodore Cove East without entrance doors facing the roadway, numbers may be posted on that side of the building facing the road. Such numbers shall be located on the side of the building nearest to the front entrance of that unit. Size and color of numbers shall be as provided for in Section 1331.01. Those units with front entrance doors on the roadway shall also comply with the provisions of Section 1331.01.
