It is unlawful to make or cause to be made any unusual and excessively loud noise upon any street within the city limits of this city, except in connection with a lawfully conducted parade, or as otherwise permitted by law or by order of the chief of police. This section shall not apply to law enforcement personnel during the course of their official duties or to the operator of any emergency vehicles. (Ord. 1931 § 11, 1986: prior code § 75000)
