A. All demands drawn on the city treasurer, all written contracts and conveyances made or entered into by the city, and all instruments requiring the city seal may be signed by the mayor, the mayor pro tem, or any member of the city council in such order of availability.
B. Notwithstanding subsection A of this section, to facilitate the daily operations of the city, the city council may, from time to time, by resolution or minute action, authorize the city manager, or the city manager's authorized designee, to execute contracts and other written instruments and authorizations on behalf of the city.
