The city of Redlands may prohibit the owner of a vicious dog from owning, possessing, controlling or having custody of any dog for a period of up to three (3) years when the animal control board finds, after proceedings conducted under sections 6.05.060 to 6.05.100 of this chapter that such ownership or possession would create a significant threat to the public health, safety and welfare.
