The city clerk and city treasurer shall each, before commencing the duties of their respective offices, execute a bond in favor of the city, conditioned for the faithful performance of their respective duties, in the following penal sums:
A. The city clerk, in the penal sum of five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000.00).
B. The city treasurer, in the penal sum of one million dollars ($1,000,000.00).
The city shall be responsible for the costs of the bonds. (Ord. 2438 § 5, 2000: prior code §§ 12201–12206)
