Every person not otherwise licensed by other provisions of this chapter and chapter 5.04 of this title, having a fixed place of business in the city, managing, conducting or carrying on or engaging in any business, profession or occupation included, but not limited to, those mentioned in section 5.08.110 of this article, shall pay a semiannual license fee in accordance with the following schedule based on the gross receipts for the preceding calendar year:

Five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) and over shall pay the semiannual fee of twelve dollars ($12.00) plus three dollars seventy five cents ($3.75) for each additional two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00) annual gross receipts or fraction thereof. (Prior code § 2231)
