The purpose of the planned residential development provisions is to provide for greater flexibility in the design of residential developments and the promotion of a more efficient, aesthetically pleasing and desirable use of land. It is intended that developments proposed under the provisions of this chapter shall be planned and designed in a manner that will retain the general configuration of the natural terrain and existing plantings in order to maintain and enhance the locally recognized values of community appearance.
