18.128.160: SIGNS:
   A.   The applicable provisions of the Redlands sign code shall apply in the A-D zone. In addition, no flashing, rotating or moving signs are permitted. No lighted sign shall have such an intensity, color or shape as may interfere with or endanger flight operations by causing confusion with official lighting, as determined in the discretion of the airport commission.
   B.   The following signs shall be permitted:
      1.   Signs indicating the name and nature of the occupancy. Such signs shall be attached to the building parallel to the face of the building in which the occupancy is located. Such signs shall not exceed one hundred fifty (150) square feet in area, with a maximum of one sign per individual use;
      2.   "For rent", "for lease", and "for sale" signs posted on the building or premises being sold, rented or leased. Such signs shall not exceed six (6) square feet in area;
      3.   Directional signs related to the location of buildings or activities on the airport. Such directional signs shall not exceed six (6) square feet in area;
      4.   One freestanding directory sign with a maximum total area of one hundred (100) square feet. Such a sign shall indicate thereon only the name of the airport and the names of the buildings, occupants or activities located on the airport, together with their locations;
      5.   Signs erected or painted upon the runway, taxiways and parking aprons, in accordance with FAA regulations, for the specific uses of air navigation and ground traffic flow. (Ord. 1000 § 31.53(I), 1955)
