In the A-D district, site plans for new buildings shall be submitted to the commission for review and approval. Buildings, structures and land shall be used, and buildings and structures shall hereafter be erected, altered or enlarged only for the following uses:
Aircraft associated activities:
Aerial crop dusting and spraying enterprises.
Aerial firefighting enterprises.
Aerial photo and surveying enterprises.
Air freight warehouse.
Aircraft sales enterprises.
Flying school and/or flying club administrative and classroom facilities.
Packaging and packing of perishable products for air transportation.
Preparation of chemical fire retardants and insecticides, as required for aerial firefighting and crop dusting enterprises.
Aircraft maintenance activities:
Aircraft communication equipment and instrument repair.
Aircraft electrical systems repair.
Aircraft engine repair.
Aircraft hydraulic systems repair.
Aircraft modification and repair.
Aircraft manufacturing and assembly, including the manufacture of aircraft component parts.
Airports, airfields, helicopter fields or ports, landing or takeoff strips or runways, and similar facilities used as fields or ports for airplanes, helicopters, dirigibles, balloons or other airborne machines and equipment.
Buildings, improvements and activities primarily related to the operation of the airport facility, such as hangars, air terminal buildings, and operations towers. (Ord. 1000 § 31.51(A), 1955)
