§ 70-704. Payroll deductions.

   A.   The following deductions shall be made from each employee's paycheck:

      (1)   Federal, state and local income tax.

      (2)   Public unemployment compensation law tax.

      (3)   Reading occupation tax, collected once yearly.

      (4)   Social security (FICA) tax.

      (5)   Officers and Employees Retirement Fund.

      (6)   Such other taxes as shall be mandated from time to time by federal, state and/or local laws, rules or regulations.

   B.   AFSCME bargaining unit employees shall have their union dues on Fair Share deduction made from their paycheck.

   C.   Other deductions can be made from each employee's paycheck as stipulated in the handbook.
