A. Function. The Department of Finance shall be responsible for the administration of City’s financial management, Information technology, and purchasing functions. In addition, the Department shall direct the operation of the Citizen’s Service Center.
(1) Specific financial management responsibilities assigned to the department Include: budget preparation, pension administration, and the receipt, accounting, expenditure, investment, custody, and control of the City’s funds except to the extent that such activities are expressly charged by the law, Charter, or ordinance to any other City unit.
B. Department Director. The Department Director shall be responsible to the Managing Director for the function and performance of the Department.
