§ 52.31  WELLHEAD PROTECTION AREA.
   (A)   Definition.  For purposes of this section the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires different meaning.
   WELLHEAD PROTECTION AREA.   The surface and subsurface area surrounding a water well or well field, supplying a public water system, through which contaminants are reasonably likely to move toward and reach such water well or well field.
   (B)   Designation. The City Council designates a wellhead protection area for the purpose of protecting the public water supply system. The wellhead protection area is within Township 12 North, Range 14 West (Garfield Plat). The boundary begins at the Northwest Corner of Section 5, then East to the Northeast Corner of NW ¼ NE ¼ Section 5, then South to the Northeast corner of SW ¼ NE  ¼ Section 5, then East to the Northeast corner of SE ¼ NE ¼ Section 5, then South to the Northwest corner of SW ¼ Section 4, then East to the Northeast corner of SW ¼ Section 4, then South to the BNSF railroad tracks located NE ¼ SW ¼ Section 9, it then follows the BNSF railroad tracks West-Southwest to where the BNSF railroad tracks cross Mud Creek, it then follows Mud Creek upstream to the East edge of the SW ¼ NW ¼ Section 8 and then North on the West ¼ Section line of Section 8 to the Southwest corner of NE ¼ NW ¼ Section 8, then West to the Southwest corner of NW ¼ NW ¼ Section 8, then North to the Southwest corner of Section 5, then West to the Southwest corner of SE ¼ SE ¼ Section 6, then North to the Northwest corner of NE ¼ SE ¼ Section 6, then East to the Northwest corner of SW ¼ Section 5, then finally back North to the Northwest corner of Section 5. Township 12 North, Range 14 West. This delineation is based upon a map prepared by the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality presented to the City of Ravenna in the year 2000.
