As used in this Building and Housing Code, the following words and terms have the meanings respectively ascribed to them:
(b) Electrical work includes the installation, alteration or repair of electric wiring, conductors, equipment and electrical devices used within or without buildings for the transmission of electric current for light, heat, power, signalling or any other purpose.
(c) Electrical contractor includes any person, firm or corporation engaged in electrical work within the City, under contract, written or verbal, express or implied, with the owner, lessee or contractor of any building.
(d) Mercantile building means any building which in whole or in part is used for any purpose other than a private dwelling.
