The purpose of the Raton Arts and Cultural District Coordinating Council as defined by the New Mexico Arts and Cultural District Act (2007) is to grow the creative and cultural economy in the historic district of Raton. The Arts and Cultural District Coordinating Council shall meet the policies and standards as set forth in the New Mexico Arts and Cultural District Statute (2007) and any policies, procedures and reporting as required by the New Mexico Arts Commission, the state authorizing body, the state Arts and Cultural District Council and the state Arts and Cultural District Coordinator.
