§ 155.06 WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM.
   (A)   The requirements for a community water supply are: and
      (1)   In the corporate limits, connection to the city water supply system;
      (2)   In the extraterritorial (3 mile) limits, construction of 1 or more central water supply systems approved by the city and the New Mexico Environmental Improvement Agency.
   (B)   If the development plan or plat provides for connection to an existing water supply system, the plan or the plat shall include a written agreement with the water system authority that service will be provided to the area proposed for development.
   (C)   If the development plan or the plat provides for construction of 1 or more central water supply systems, the plan or plat shall assure the availability of sufficient potable water and, to that end, shall describe the source, location, quantity, and quality of the water:
      (1)   If the supply is to be from surface water, then requirements set forth in Appendix A of the City of Raton Land Subdivision Regulations shall apply;
      (2)   If the supply is to be from ground water sources, then requirements set forth in Appendix A of the City of Raton Land Subdivision Regulations shall apply;
      (3)   Water quality and water systems requirements are contained in § 155.30; and
      (4)   If the water supply is to be provided from surface supplies or from ground water supplies within declared underground basins, the water supply plan accompanying the final plat or final site plan must include a permit issued by the State Engineer for the use of the quantity of water required, or surety in an amount sufficient to cover acquisition of the permit.
