(A) The requirements of the location of Class I water systems, in order to protect water quality (More than 10 lots):
(1) Safe distance from any contaminant source;
(2) At least 200 feet from a liquid waste disposal site of less than 1,000 gallons per day;
(3) At least 300 feet from a liquid waste disposal site of more than 1,000 gallons per day;
(4) At least 150 feet from nonleakproof wastewater lines;
(5) At least 25 feet from wastewater lines which are leakproof;
(6) At least 75 feet from a perennial stream;
(7) At least 100 feet from other contamination sources such as land fills, stock yards, and animal feed lots; and
(8) At least 50 feet from an arroyo or other periodic water-carrying channel.
(B) Requirements for Class II water systems (less than 10 lots):
(1) Safe distance from any contaminant source;
(2) At least 100 feet from a liquid waste disposal of less than 1,000 gallons per day;
(3) At least 200 feet from a liquid waste disposal of more than 1,000 gallons per day;
(4) At least 100 feet from non-leakproof wastewater lines carrying more than 1,000 gallons per day;
(5) At least 75 feet from nonleakproof wastewater lines carrying less than 1,000 gallons per day;
(6) At least 25 feet from leakproof wastewater lines;
(7) At least 75 feet from perennial streams;
(8) At least 75 feet from other contamination sources, such as land fills, stock yards, and animal feed lots; and
(9) At least 50 feet from arroyos and other periodic water-carrying channels.
