In the event of an appeal from a condemnation order as provided in § 151.28, and for the protection of the city or any person suffering injury or damage against any damages occasioned by the delay resulting from the appeal, the owner, occupant, or agent in charge shall execute and deliver to the city a good and sufficient bond with sureties thereon, to be approved by the Mayor and City Attorney, in an amount as may be determined by the City Commission, guaranteeing to protect the city from any damages which may result from the delay occasioned by the appeal in the event the owner, occupant, or agent in charge shall fail to obtain a final judgment setting aside the order of condemnation.
