The Streets and Alleys Committee shall, from time to time, inspect or cause to be inspected, all excavations and tunnels being made in or under any public street, alley or other place in the village to see the enforcement of the provisions of this code of ordinances. Notice shall be given to him or her at least ten hours before the work of refilling any such tunnel or excavation commences.
