§ 42.117 ACCOMMODATIONS.
The city will provide accommodations to the best of its ability for employees with disabilities, contingent on budget and structural limitations. Reasonable accommodations are modifications or adjustments that allow a person with disability to enjoy the same benefits of employment/services as people without disabilities. In general, the applicant or employee with a disability is responsible for letting the employer know that an accommodation is needed to participate in the application process, to perform essential job functions, or to receive equal benefits and privileges of employment. Any person who believes he or she has been discriminated against on the basis of his or her disability may file a complaint with the Affirmative Action Officer in accordance with the complaint procedures outlined in § 42.119.
