The commission shall have the powers and duties to make recommendations to the City Council in the implementation of the Quincy Next Strategic Plan in the following areas:
(A) To review strategies and make recommendations;
(B) To assist city officials, community partners, civic leader, businesses and public and private institutions in implementing strategies;
(C) To promote relationships with all interested parties, including staff, community partners, boards and commissions, civic leaders, business and public and private institutions to facilitate strategic plan implementation;
(D) To seek public and private input on implementation of strategies;
(E) To seek public funds including any grants or loans from the United States Government or State of Illinois;
(F) To seek private donations for conducting studies or planning for the implementation of strategies;
(G) To recommend agreements with public or private agencies or persons in connection with the implementation of strategies;
(H) To report progress of the plan implementation.
