(A) It shall be unlawful for any person to perform any electrical work within the town unless he or she is registered by the state as an electrical contractor or a journeyperson electrician in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
(B) It shall likewise be unlawful for any electrical contractor to employ any person to perform electrical work unless such employer is himself or herself a state-registered electrical contractor. No journeyperson electrician shall perform any electrical work within the town unless he or she is in the employ of a registered electrical contractor.
(C) This section shall not apply to an electrician’s helper working under the direct supervision of a registered electrical contractor or journeyperson electrician, nor to a homeowner performing work under a permit issued in accordance with § 54.07.
