(A) House Enrolled Act 1139 amends I.C. 5-22-8, et seq., and is effective July 1, 1998, and provides that the County Board of Commissioners must make a written designation for purchasing agent, or agents, for the county unit of government.
(B) Effective July 1, 1998, the County Board of Commissioners, or its duly authorized agents, shall be the purchasing agent for the county governmental unit, all as provided by I.C. 5-22-8.
(C) Further, the County Board of Commissioners may, from time to time, designate specific agents as will be reflected in the minutes of the meetings of the county, and may be amended from time to time as needed.
