§ 32.17  POWERS.
   (A)   Such Reserve Deputy Sheriffs shall have all of the same police powers as regular County Deputy Sheriffs of the County Police Department, except as may be limited by the rules, regulations, and directives of the County Police Department, and as approved by the County Sheriff’s Merit Board. Such limitations may be imposed collectively or individually.
   (B)   Further, any and all rules and regulations concerning the duties and activities of the County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputies shall be prepared by the County Sheriff and approved by the County Sheriff’s Merit Board prior to the submission to the County Board of Commissioners for its approval, all of which shall be done prior to implementation of said rules and regulations. Further still, the County Sheriff may limit the authority of each such County Reserve Deputy Sheriff as he or she deems appropriate, including the limitations of the geographical area in which such police powers may be exercised.
