A.   Purpose: The purpose of the petty cash checking account is to pay for immediate cash needs for the various City departments. Any funds so expended on behalf of a City department from the petty cash checking account shall be reimbursed by the City department making the expenditure.
   B.   Created: There is hereby created a City petty cash checking account.
   C.   Signatures Authorized: The following positions shall have signature authority on the account:
      1.   Mayor;
      2.   City Clerk;
      3.   Assistant City Clerk;
      4.   City Treasurer; or
      5.   Assistant City Treasurer.
   D.   Check Issuance; Signatures Required: To issue a check from the account, it shall be necessary for only one (1) signature of the authorized individuals. (1988 Code § 7-114)
